The NP6600 is part of the 6000 series, the latest release from Jetart. Of the previous series (NP3000, 4000, and 5000), we reviewed the NP5000 and were impressed with its cooling ability. The concept behind the 6000 line is portability: every cooler folds in half. The 6600 falls somewhere in the middle of the series. The lower end 6000 is the base model. Our sample has adjustable fan speeds. The 6800 also has a USB2.0 hub. Lastly, the 6900 adds a card reader. It's worthwhile to note that the last two models are rated at 10watts (pretty high by notebook standards) while the 6000 and 6600 consume only 1watt. This is probably due to the USB hub.

Technological advancements to improve our quality of life are always welcomed, which in the case of notebook technology, the unveiling of the new Intel Centrino mobile technology will only bode well for the notebook industry and notebook users. By moving from a single-core to a dual-core design, notebook computers can no longer be seen as products that compromise on performance for mobile computing. Truth be told, the performance disparity between desktop computers and notebook computers is actually getting thinner with each new wave of innovations to better the performance and battery mileage of notebooks. However, as impressive and awe inspiring as the new components in the 'Napa' Centrino platform are, benchmark results for the NEC Versa S5200 were not compelling enough to convince us that 'Napa' notebooks are much more competent than existing crop of notebooks, particularly where office applications and general home usage are concerned.

Most people use flash drives to transport files to and from work or school. To some, these files are not that important, but to many they are. So many flash drives out there are cheap and feeble. They can easily break by getting dropped or sat on. It can be a real pain to keep on buying new flash drives. Corsair has come out with the Voyager. The Voyager is virtually indestructible so it will last you a long time. Since the 4GB flash drives just came out, Corsair was nice enough to send us the 4GB version of the Voyager.

It has been almost 10 months since our review of the original Oakley THUMP MP3 playing eyewear. I personally loved the original THUMP for being innovative as well as its sporty design. Today we move on from the beloved THUMP to their new brother; THUMP 2. The THUMP 2 are the latest from Oakley in their THUMP eyewear line and look to improve upon the original THUMP in many ways. The THUMP 2 come in 5 different versions that range in 256MB - 1GB of flash memory built-in. The model we have here to review is the top of the line Polished Black/Black Iridium 1GB eyewear.
Be like Lance Armstrong with Oakley's Latest THUMP!
