Page 3 of 4 Step Three Once you're got the front half of the keyboard detached, it is time to get the back half up. While keeping the front edge up slightly, push forward, and you'll see these little fingers emerge from the back of the keyboard away from the casing. Once they stop emerging, and you see silver, it is OK to lift the back half up. There, it will expose the ribbon cable, so don't pull up too much, or too hard. Step Four To remove the ribbon cable, flip the front of the keyboard towards you so that the keys are facing you now. Underneath, you'll see the clip mechanism and the white piece that keeps ribbon cable in place. Simply take your flat head screwdriver and push down on the white ends. They will unclip, and you'll be able to lift the keyboard away. At this time, you should take out the compressed air, and blow away any debris you see under keyboard, and on the top chassis. Grab your cuetips, and lightly dampen them to scrub stubborn areas. Related Products
