Performance

When I first placed my hand on the device, I was pleased with how well the contours fit. At first it seemed to be perfectly designed. But as I started to use the device, I began to notice a hollow feeling. It almost made an otherwise well built device feel cheap. Not only did the feeling itself turn me off, but it caused problems in the performance of the mouse as the lack of weight allowed the mouse to be incredibly sensitive to movements and hard to control at times. This especially was a problem when using the device while on the move such as in a plane or train were shifting and movement frequently occur or when playing games where precise movements are necessary.

I understand that a portable device needs to be lightweight and easy to carry, but this should never be sacrificed for feel. There was a lot of hollow space inside the unit itself. A few weights here and there would have made a heckuva difference for me.

Final Thoughts

It looks great, has contours in all the right spots and ranks high on the ease of use scale. It even works for lefties and righties. However, for my requirements, the perfect mouse would need to have a little more weight to it. It was too sensitive and felt flimsy because of this lack of weight, although I have dropped it a few times to prove it isn't that flimsy.

So if portability and ease of use are top on your criteria list, then this may be the mouse for you. It's also fairly inexpensive. But if twitchy mouses annoy you, especially if you plan on using it on a plane, train, or automobile, then you might want to tread with caution, or leave the work till you get somewhere a bit more stable.

Upside

  • Portable-light weight and snap in receiver makes if very easy to travel with.
  • Ease of use-it easily snapped together and instructions were not required.
  • Very Long Battery Life...let's see after 6 months...

Downside

  • Sensitivity-the lack of weight makes it very sensitive to movement making it hard to control at times.
