Final Thoughts

Overall, the Targus Urban Series Messenger Bag meets with approval. It’s durable, lightweight, and has the necessary appointments for your Digital Lifestyle Gadgets. We’re still perplexed by the removable accessory pouch placement, and the questionable functionality of the key loop, but felt that the durability and the weather resistant bottom made up for this. Add to that the ergonomics that have proven comfortable for the everyday grind and you’ve got a decent looking bag that protects your laptop and gadgets well. The jury is still out on the apparent fashionable nature of orange and black.

Despite the small quips and gripes, this bag is pretty solid, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to someone wanting something a bit different, a bit more durability, and places to put all those gadgets away properly.  Plus, with a LIFETIME WARRANTY you really can't go wrong.

Pros
  • Lightweight design
  • Durable materials and weather resistant bottom
  • Well thought out design for digital gadgets like MP3 players and Cell Phones

Cons

  • Questionable fashion sense (Orange and Black???!!!)
  • Weird accessory compartment that has no real home
  • Key loop doesn’t really do the job as a key loop without extra parts (i.e.: Climbing Carabineer).
