Unexpected Surprise...

Bluetooth stuff is supposed to work together seamlessly, so when a Bluetooth device doesn't work with another, it needs to go back to the drawing board. For kicks, we installed the Microsoft Bluetooth Mouse onto the system using the BT009Si adapter. Sure enough, it worked fine! Looks like this adapter is totally cool with even non Bluetake product. We even installed the keyboard from the Microsoft Bluetooth desktop. Again, no problems with the installation.

The other kind of cool feature of the BlueTake BT510 mouse was the fact that if you do indeed run out of power from the two onboard AAA batteries, you can easily plug the mouse into a USB port and continue powered off the bus. It's like a lifeline for your mouse and nothing is more annoying than running completely wireless devices only to have the batteries die on you during the middle of your workday. Very cool!
