Performance

There isn't much bad to say about the BT510 and BT009Si combination except for the fact that it still suffers from the same old dreaded "Bluetooth Lag" that we discovered from our review of the Microsoft Bluetooth Desktop. Other than that, I found the small size and unique looks to be both pleasing to hand and eye. I really thought that the on and off switch on the bottom of the mouse is required for all wireless peripherals regardless of whether they conserve power or not. The fact of the matter is that they come back on when they are jostled so I thought that was a nice touch that the Microsoft Combo we reviewed could have benefited from. Aside from minor nitpicks, the combination performed as good as any wireless mouse that I've used in the past.

Final Thoughts

Overall, I thought that the features, compatibility and looks made it a great addition to any mobile warriors notebook bag. I really liked the USB cord lifeline that made the mouse useable even without battery power, and the little bag to keep the rodent scuff free was a nice touch. This deserves a solid recommendation from me.

Pros

  • Both devices were 100% Compatible with other Bluetooth Devices, even ones not from the same brand
  • USB Lifeline for those times that you run out of battery power when mousing around with the BT510
  • The BlueTake baggy was cool for keeping your rodent scuff free
  • The small size of the BT009Si Bluetooth Adapter was cool, but what was even cooler was the blue lights

Cons

  • Same Bluetooth Lag when picking up the mouse from a standstill. Definitely not recommended for gaming.
