Quick Capture

In the quick capture, this is where pictures and video can be taken. In this mode, I found that the camera is very good. The quality of the images is very sharp. The resolution can be set to one of 4 resolutions: 160X120, 320X240, 640X480, and one mega pixel. The video mode however can only attain a maximum resolution of 640X480. The manual focus on the cam allows you to get very close to an object. I was able to focus in on an orange and show the details of the orange skin from about from one inch away. By taking pictures or video in this section, you can save them to your hard drive. From the Logitech pictures program, you can send the video you made as a video email or send pictures to friends and family.

The one thing I noticed that was not good when using the camera is that it could not take a shot of the outside through a window. The backlight options are very limited and this limits the use of the webcam. The magnified light from the windows makes the webcam image white.
