Setting it Up

Installing the TV tuner card into my computer was a bit of a challenge if you don't follow the directions. I tried installing the card first, and it just didn't want to work. So I removed the drivers that did not install properly and physically removed the card. Following the installation instructions this time, the TV Tuner card installed easily. With the software in my computer all that was needed was to connect the cable. This TV tuner card is able to handle both PAL and NTSC TV formats so it would be great to travel with. So let that be a lesson: Read the instructions first!

The PAL to NTSC coax connector slides easily into the card and is now ready for use in North America. The great thing I found with the adapter is that when I needed to put the cable away, all I needed to do is just pull the adapter out of the card with the cable connected. The construction of the included cables was okay but was not built very well as they had a tendency to be way to tight for the fragile connectors. We managed to get them in, but with caution.
