Just when you think USB drives couldn't get any smaller, they start making them thinner. OCZ announced today, the existence of a drive that is so thin, that it will fit right into your wallet!
Dubbed the OCZ Mini-Kart USB 2.0 Flash Drive series, these drives are going to make us rethink where to store the bloody thinkg with out losing them!
"The lightweight Mini-Kart housing is 2.8mm thick, making this compact unit small enough to store in your wallet, ensuring that it is always handy to access or transfer documents, music, pictures and videos from your home or work computer. As a result of the incredibly thin Mini-Kart profile you’ll never have to unplug surrounding USB ports to make room, a common problem with many oversized competitor drives."
The OCZ Mini-Kart Flash Drive series will be available in 512MB, 1GB, and 2GB capacities. Since the drives are based on USB 2.0, they should be fairly fast assuming that it will follow the pedigree of their "Rally Series" brethren. The drive support true USB plug and play technology so that you shouldn't need a driver to install it and go. Though thin, the Mini-Kart still offers a blue LED to signal drive activity.
The OCZ Mini-Kart is designed to be the most portable USB flash memory drive on the market and comes backed with a 3 year warranty for the ultimate peace of mind.
