If you checked out that little video clip on how MSI tests their laptops, you have to believe that there is some quality assurance built into each unit. That's why it was great timing for this review to come out because now we can see if it is all fluff or not.

"Pricing is yet to be confirmed for the MSI MegaBook S271, but I can tell you what else accompanies the Turion64 X2 TL-50 processor. Built using the ATi RS485M + SB460 chipset the MegaBook S271 does all its 3D rendering with the Radeon Xpress 200M integrated graphics engine, which is of course Microsoft Vista ready! Audio is taken care of by the Realtek ALC882 Codec which does support the Azalia interface. The review sample that I received came with 512MB of DDR2-667 memory and a 60GB Toshiba MK6025GAS (ATA) HDD. Update: The MSI MegaBook S271 is said to cost $1500 US, which is reasonable given the specifications.

Then there are the features users will be more familiar with, such as the Combo/DVD Dual/Super Multi/DVD Dual layer optical drive, 4-in-1 card reader (MMC/SD/MS/MS Pro) and the 12.1" WXGA (Glare type) LCD. There are three USB 2.0 ports featured on the MegaBook S271, along with a VGA out port, Firewire port, Mic-in, Headphone out, S/PDIF out, RJ11 and RF45 outputs. Other built-in communication devices include a gigabit Ethernet connection, wireless 802.11b/g WLAN card and Bluetooth."
